Biayni was founded by fashion designer Vahan Khachatryan in 2015. It is the first brand that designs mass production clothing.. Biayni has presented Alice In Wonderland, Mini Mouse, Marie Antoinette and Ohay collections. Maison Jhangirian is a young brand that has been founded by fashion designer Narek Jhangirian in 2017. Narek is participating at Oriflame Fashion Weekend for the second year. The young fashion designer has received number of invitations to participate in Fashion Week events in London, Paris, and New York. His inspiration is the woman as an independent character. At Oriflame Fashion Weekend 2017 Maison Jhangirian presents new 10 looks which illuminate the will of the woman in colors: beige (flexibility, comfort, fragility, neutrality) and black (power, authority, revolution, confidence, emptiness and sadness).
Nikolyan Fashion House was founded by fashion designer Aram Nikolyan in 2003. Nikolyan has presented Rock On a Rock, Yerevan Jazz, Yerevan, Urfa: Reborn Values and Ayntap collections that became equally popular and successful. At Oriflame Fashion Weekend 2017 Nikolyan is presenting MUSA:Parajanov collection inspired by Sergey Parajanov’s art, life and experience. The collection touches upon Parajanov's inexhaustible imagination and natural talentrepresenting Parajanov as an artist, his movies and collages.
The brand was started in late 2015 by architectural and fashion designer Vicken Derderian after leaving his position on the BCBG Runway Design team. In 2016, he decided to collaborate with former Academy of Art University Graduate School classmate and BCBG coworker Kyung Hwa Kim. The brand creates luxury based clothing using high standards of construction and blending old and new world techniques. The brand’s design mantra is “Our fashion is a more intimate architecture of the body”. At Oriflame Fashion Weekend 2017 Vicken Derderian is presenting a collection that initially is about women in flight. The designers did not want the collection to just portray literal elements of flight, they wanted to inspire and be inspired by women who break the proverbial “glass ceiling.”
Sonya Avagyan's goal is to show the world Armenian culture with a new vision and image. Her eye for fashion has developed through years by studying the art of different cultures. At Oriflame Fashion Weekend 2017 Sonya Avagian is presenting her new collection which is a collaboration with calligraphist Ruben Malayan. They’ve tried to find similarities between clothing design and the art of calligraphy. As a result, the collection consists of simple yet talking clothes with hand written Armenian proverb prints.
The start of the biggest fashion event of the year will be given through the runway of Oriflame Fashion Award’s first participants. Popular and beloved Armenian fashion designers Vahan Khachatryan and Kevork Shadoyan to present their new collections as well. Since 2014 Oriflame Fashion Weekend unique project of “Oriflame Armenia” company has become an exceptional platform for Armenian designers to present their collections and new ideas to the broad public. The project consists of shows and collection presentations. Armenian already famous, well-known designers, as well as designers, who took part in the previous fashion shows organized within the framework of the project, participate in these shows.
This is the second year that Oriflame Fashion Weekend involves also a contest, in which beginner designers participate and have an opportunity to present their collections.
